Legal
Terms of Use
Last updated 6 June 2026
These terms govern your access to and use of FastPay, an online service for exchanging giftcards, cryptocurrency, and foreign currency for local cash. By starting an exchange you agree to them.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using FastPay (the “Service”) you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you:
- are at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract;
- are not barred from using the Service under the laws of your jurisdiction; and
- provide accurate, current, and complete information when asked.
3. The Service
FastPay lets you submit a request to exchange an asset at the rate shown, then our team verifies the asset and pays out to your nominated bank account. We are an exchange facilitator. We are not a bank, a money transmitter offering stored value, or an investment adviser, and nothing on the Service is financial advice.
4. Rates and locking
- The rate and your estimated payout are shown before you submit a request.
- The rate becomes binding once you submit your request and it is locked.
- For live-rate assets, the exact rate is set at the moment you submit — it may differ slightly from the estimate shown while you fill out the request.
- We may decline or re-price a transaction where pricing was published in error.
5. Completing a transaction
After you submit and the rate is locked you must deliver the agreed asset (for example, the giftcard code, the crypto transfer, or the incoming wire) as instructed, and upload proof. We will verify the asset before releasing payout. Payout timing depends on verification and your bank, and the estimates we show are not guarantees.
6. Identity and compliance
To meet anti-money-laundering, counter-terrorism-financing, and fraud-prevention obligations we may require identity verification (KYC) and may hold, delay, or decline a transaction, or report it to the relevant authorities, where we reasonably suspect unlawful activity.
7. Prohibited use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- exchange assets you do not own or are not authorised to exchange;
- submit stolen, fraudulent, charged-back, or already-redeemed instruments;
- launder money or finance unlawful activity; or
- impersonate another person or provide false information.
8. Fees
Any fees are reflected in the rate shown before you submit. You will always see the net amount you are due before you send your request.
9. Risk disclosure
Cryptocurrency and foreign-exchange values are volatile. Once a rate is locked at submission, later market movement does not change the agreed amount. Blockchain transactions are generally irreversible; please confirm network and address details carefully before sending.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FastPay is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for losses arising from your provision of incorrect details, third-party payment delays, or events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access to the Service at any time where we reasonably believe you have breached these terms or applicable law, or to protect the Service and its users.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when they last changed. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
